The electronic notification service that AOC provides to Catalan administrations sends notices by SMS and e-mail, depending on the contact information provided by the citizen / company when carrying out the procedure related to the notification.

Below we explain what the notification alerts that you can receive are like.

What is SMS like?

  • Sender: Comes from the alias AOC (Open Administration of Catalonia).
  • Content: The text varies slightly depending on the type of recipient (Citizen, Company...), but in essence the message indicates that you have received an electronic notification and some data:
    • The name of the person receiving the notification if it is addressed to a natural person
    • The name of the recipient company if it is addressed to a legal entity
    • the short link to access it*
    • the organization that sends it to you
    • the notification ID

The text does not contain accents to prevent message encoding from adding strange characters to the body.

What is email like?

  • Sender: The email comes from the domain @enotum.cat (e-NOTUM is the name of the electronic notification service that AOC provides to Catalan administrations).
  • Content: The text will vary slightly depending on the type of recipient (Citizen, company, etc.), but in essence it indicates that you have received an electronic notification.

It includes a button to access the notification, recipient, sender, subject, date sent, and the deadline for access. It also contains a unique identifier and contact information in the case of notifications to companies.

Information about the access link from the SMS and the e-mail identification button

The SMS contains a short link from the AOC (c.aoc.) that you must access to view the content of your notification. The same goes for the email, which has a button with the link to access it.

When you click on the link you will access the notifications website, you can check that it is a secure site because the web address is preceded by a padlock (if you click on it you will be able to see information about the secure connection) and https://.
